“Ainslie listened intently to what I was envisioning, then took pictures, printed them off and began to sketch a rough draft of his interpretation of my concept. In ten minutes, the rough draft was done. I was completely blown away by what lay in front of me!”
After hearing about a tattoo parlor that had come to Douglas County, I decided to check it out and see what, if anything, they could do to fix a tattoo I was no longer happy with. I had gotten the tattoo several years earlier one evening at my very own kitchen table for a whopping $50.
It was of a dead man’s hand, aces and eights, and a couple of oddly shaped dice. I went in for a consultation with Ainslie, who looked at the ink I was no longer happy with. We discussed the fact that I wanted to keep the dead man’s hand but repair and incorporate it into a gambling theme with a coral snake turning into poker chips. Ainslie listened intently to what I was envisioning, then took pictures, printed them off and began to sketch a rough draft of his interpretation of my concept. In ten minutes, the rough draft was done. I was completely blown away by what lay in front of me!
We scheduled the first appointment and Ainslie took measurements and sent me on my way to anxiously await my appointment date! At last the scheduled appointment day arrived! After my first of several 3- to 3.5-hour appointments, I had what I and nearly everyone else who sees it consider to be world class ink! The quality blew me away and led to many more sittings and a complete sleeve with the second one started! Ainslie made me a lifelong patron of Vintage Karma and Ainslie Heilich! Thank you! Your work is incredible and I am forever grateful!
